HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum visited the GIT stand and had a closer look to two outstanding novelties shown for the first time at GITEX 2008: an innovative e-passport printer and an emergency warning system.

The security printing system from the Japanese technology company Toshiba enables personnel to identify travelers through a chip embedded passport with a highly secured and smart personal data page feature. Toshiba exclusively chose GIT as the sole representative for their e-passport systems almost all over the world. The unique emergency warning systems (EWS), the only patented gadget of its kind, is currently being distributed exclusively through GIT as an Australian based technology and enables emergency workers to interfere when needed into radio broadcasts with predefined messages. The EWS has been already requested by the Abu Dhabi and Dubai police for testing. Another innovative solution which GIT shows at their stand is a data-mining system which is able to mine any Radio or TV satellite broadcast in nearly real-time making information accessible and searchable in text form (and even translating it, if needed). Other presented products cover the health sector (next generation patient data viewer), complete surveillance systems, integrated warehousing and real estate IT solutions.
